Resource Sharing Services for Public Libraries

The Library Commission provides public libraries access to resources that enable them to locate and borrow materials for their customers that are not available from Library Commission's collection. The Statewide Virtual Union Catalog and Interlibrary Loan System (VUC/ILL) enables participating libraries to readily locate and borrow material from other Mississippi public libraries.

Funding provided by the Mississippi Library Commission allows public library systems to search for and electronically borrow books and other material from thousands of OCLC member libraries. Training and support are also provided by Commission staff.
