BPHLS Mission Statement

BPHLS exists to meet the recreational/informational needs of eligible readers throughout the state. This library provides direct public library services to those eligible Mississippians who are blind, visually impaired, physically disabled, or have a reading disability due to an organic dysfunction. Through BPHLS, Mississippians who need information and/or reading materials in braille, audio cassette, large print, and descriptive video can avail themselves of these resources. Consulting, training, outreach service, and interlibrary loan are also provided to local libraries and library patrons.
