Located in Clarksdale, the legendary birthplace of the blues, the Delta Blues Museum maintains information and artifacts relevant to the history and significance of the blues.

Mississippi is also home to the Mississippi Blues Festival and the Delta Blues and Heritage Festival, the only major blues festival produced by an African-American nonprofit community group in the United States.
The Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame showcases successful Mississippi musicians and encourages public interest in and education about Mississippi's music heritage.
