Online Catalogs
The Library Commission's Resource Library Catalog provides online access to the Primary Resource Collection. This collection is developed to serve as the primary backup for Mississippi libraries and to meet the information needs of Mississippi state government. This collection includes reference, non-fiction, audiovisual, periodical, Mississippiana, and large print materials. The online catalog is accessible to anyone with an Internet connection. Registered libraries and state employees may request specific materials using the hold feature.
The Blind and Physically Handicapped Library Services (BPHLS) catalog provides online access to the specialized collection of digital and cassette books, Braille, and descriptive videos contained in the BPHLS collection. This online catalog is accessible to anyone with an Internet connection. Circulation of materials is limited to those meeting specific federal eligibility criteria for individuals with visual impairments, physical limitations and reading disabilities.
The Statewide Virtual Union Catalog and Interlibrary Loan system, currently being implemented, provides a single point of access to participating Mississippi public library catalogs.
MAGNOLIA is a collection of online full-text resources funded by the Mississippi Legislature for access from within a publicly funded library. Select resources are also accessible from the home or office with a password which can be obtained from the individual's local library.
